1. Seeing is believing! Celine Dion impersonating Michael Jackson. “Bad” doesn’t even begin to describe it.

  2. Batman as you never really wanted to see him before. The track is called “Passed Out” from Boneyards. Christopher Nolan eat your heart out.

  3. Providing the soundtrack to this weekend’s jaunt around Connacht/Ulster are Cavan’s 15 year old wunderkinds “The Strypes”. After digging through their grandparents’ record collections they’ve discovered rock n’ roll and they like it! Let’s hope that there’s more where this came from.

  4. Gorillaz - Do Ya Thing feat James Murphy & Andre 3000

Brilliant new video directed by Jamie Hewett to accompany the latest Gorillaz all star offering. The visuals are so diverting that it takes a few passes for the song to even register.

  6. Clearlake - Wonder if the Snow will Settle

The first dusting of the year always sends me running to dust off this gorgeous little number.

  7. Lightships - Two Lines

On this bitterly cold day here’s a little something warm and fuzzy to keep you going. “Two Lines” is the first track on “Electric Cables”, a forthcoming lp from Gerard Love/Lightships. Having listened to this slice of sepia tinted indie it will not surprise you to learn that Mr Love is the erstwhile bassist with the Teenage Fanclub and while he is definitely his own man, he’s clearly been taking notes.

  9. Gotye - Somebody That I Used to Know (feat Kimbra)

I suspect that we will be hearing an awful lot of this song in the very near future. Gotye (pronounced Gaulthier) has already conquered his native Australia with this break-up number and world domination must be next on the cards.
